One coaching session enabled Sam to realise, that she doesn’t have to do everything by herself and that she wants to raise confident and independent children and enabling them to take some responsibilities will help her to achieve that.
Sam came up with an action plan to help her feel more calm and relaxed in the morning:
- Write down all the tasks/activities she does in the morning and mark all the tasks she can delegate to her husband and children
- Sam is going to call a family meeting and share with her family how she feels and what could help her
- Sam will create a chart and make sure the kids are rewarded for doing their bits
- Sam will select some of the tasks to be done the evening before school e.g., getting the clothes ready, preparing packed lunch
One session has helped Sam to feel more confident, stronger in herself and more positive.
Coaching has helped John understand that:
- Deep down, he doesn’t want to have extra responsibilities
- He is not interested in managing people and their problems
- Being a manager doesn’t guarantee he will have freedom in making decision and being creative
- The money is not worth the stress
Throughout the coaching, John used a few career building tools that enabled him to understand his likes and dislikes, assess his career opportunities and manage his career in overall.
John now understands he had unrealistic expectations and that narrowing his ideas and decisions was helpful. Coaching has helped John to get to know himself better and his pattern of thinking.

Angie has also learnt self-kindness and self-compassion which have helped her to reduce the pressure she was putting on herself. Angie has tamed and befriended her procrastination and she now knows how to approach it without beating herself down or feeling guilty.
